In theory it was great, in practice the UI of the apps was just shrunken down and on many apps that was way too small in landscape. Both devices have a Liquid Retina IPS LCD with similar color properties and qualities.

NextI would say that if you already have a laptop, the Mini is probably the better choice for you but it depends heavily on what you will use the tablet for.
